Competition information, April 7 (Sat)

Our current team member, Wendy, is going to compete at Northglenn Championships at Denver, Corolado this weekend in senior -57kg division. Rich will be coaching her. Also, junior class students are going to compete. Our former team member, Karl, (currently at Univ.Corolado) is going to compete at senior elete -73kg division. Good luck on their matches!!

Nobu competed in the tournament last year, whihc was really tough days for him lost at 1st match...:( See the last year's competition photos as below.

Team Judo America Iowa City Website started!!

Do you know that we have Judo practice at Field house at the University of Iowa?
Judo is the martial arts established by Jigoro Kano in Japan on 1882, and is now recognized as one of the official Olympic event. Train yourself in mentally and physically!

The Judo America Iowa City club is located in Iowa City, Iowa. The club uses facilities and organizational support of the Recreational Services of the University of Iowa. Practices are held three times for the seniors. The dojo is located in Room 511S Field House, which is equipped with a 24 m by 9 m high-quality tatami on a spring loaded support.
Members of the club have competed at state and national level tournaments.
